A bit more about Grounded...

Grounded was set up by Josh Clarke, a garden designer based in Norwich.

Before moving into garden design, Josh worked as a creative strategy director in digital publishing... developing ideas, shaping projects and working closely with clients to translate concepts into something tangible. The move into landscape was a natural progression: applying that same thinking to spaces that are physical, long-lasting, and used every day.

Training includes a postgraduate diploma in garden design from the British Academy of Garden Design (distinction), alongside RHS horticultural qualifications. This combination of design and horticulture underpins the way each project is approached.

Our work is shaped by utility and purpose. We aim to craft garden spaces that reflect their users and bring a sense of belonging. Within that, there is always scope to introduce moments of subtle character, details that give a garden its own identity without ever feeling forced.
