GARDEN DESIGN FOR BUILDERS,
ARCHITECTS AND LANDSCAPERS

I'm Josh, a garden designer based in Norwich, working across Norfolk, London and anywhere in between. I work alongside builders, architects and landscapers to design the garden part of a project, so your client ends up with a finished home, not just a finished build.

What I can provide

  • Concept designs and planting plans

  • Detailed drawings to scale, with measurements and materials, so your builder or landscaper can price the job accurately and build it without guesswork

  • 3D models built in SketchUp, so your client can see the garden from every angle before anything is built. That makes it easier for them to say yes, means fewer changes of mind once work starts, and shows how the garden sits with the house

  • Landscaping plans where planning permission requires one

How a design helps you win bigger jobs

A client who can see the finished garden is more likely to go ahead, and to spend more when they do.

  • Clients get invested. Once they've walked round it in 3D, it stops being a quote on paper and becomes their garden.

  • Bigger jobs. A full design tends to include the walls, paths, lighting and planting the client hadn't thought of, not just the patio they first asked about.

  • Easier to justify the price. A client who understands why each part is there is less likely to pick the quote apart line by line.

  • Fewer changes on site. The decisions get made at the design stage, not halfway through the build.

  • A stronger pitch. Turning up with scale drawings and a 3D model sets you apart from a firm with just a price on a page.

  • For architects: a finished garden makes the whole project look better, in person and in the photos.

How working together works

  1. You introduce me to your client, or I bring a client to you.

  2. I visit the site and agree the brief and a fixed price.

  3. The design is ready in around 4 weeks

  4. The build goes to you, or to the landscaper you recommend. I'm on hand for questions while it's built.

Fixed prices, quoted per job

You and your client know the cost before anything starts, with no hourly charges.

Extra design help for landscaping firms

If you design in-house, I can help when you're busy: planting plans, drawings, 3D visuals or a full design. Everything can go out under your name if you prefer.

Questions builders and architects ask

Which areas do you cover? I'm based in Norwich and work across Norfolk, London and anywhere in between. If you're further afield, get in touch anyway.

Can my landscaper build from your drawings? Yes. The drawings are made to be priced and built from, and I'm on hand for questions during the build.

How long does a design take? Around 4 weeks from the site visit to the finished design.

Can you do a landscaping plan for a planning condition? Yes. Let me know what the council has asked for and I'll prepare it.

Can the design go out under our name? Yes, if you'd prefer. Plenty of landscaping firms work this way.

If you've got a project where the garden needs some thought, I'd be glad to hear about it.
